Gregg Schor, Protegrity Advisors CEO, Named SmartCEO Future 50 Award Winner
Ronkonkoma, New York - Gregg Schor, the Chief Executive Officer of Protegrity Advisors®, a leading M&A Advisory firm headquartered on Long Island, was named a SmartCEO Future 50 Award winner at a gala reception on May 3, 2016 at the Garden City Hotel. The Future 50 Awards program is the most anticipated SmartCEO awards program of the year, recognizing 50 of the region s fastest growing mid-sized companies. Award recipients lead businesses that represent the future of the region s economy and embody the entrepreneurial spirit critical for leadership and success. Winners are selected based on a three-year average of employee and revenue growth.
Protegrity Advisors helps business owners in the lower middle market prepare for and quarterback the sale of all or part of their company to strategic buyers or private equity firms. The company was founded to fill the gap in the market for sophisticated M&A advisory services for businesses that are typically family-owned. "For many such business owners, their company is their largest asset and the culmination of years of hard work and sacrifice. Yet when the time comes to seek a liquidity event and to reap their just reward, these companies are typically below the deal-size threshold of traditional investment banks, and require significantly more expertise and resources than a business broker can offer," says Schor.
As CEO, Schor is responsible for managing Protegrity s strategic development, expansion and network of national and international relationships. He has over 20 years of experience handling corporate development, mergers and acquisitions, legal, human resources, and European operations for organizations of all sizes, having held senior management positions at technology companies acquired by some of the biggest technology powerhouses including IBM, Microsoft and EMC. Before going in-house, Schor was a New York City trial attorney. He received a J.D. from St. John s University School of Law and a diploma in International and Comparative Law from the University of San Diego School of Law for study in Russia and Poland. He is also a member of the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs.
"I m honored to receive the Future 50 Award in recognition of Protegrity s tremendous growth over the past several years," Schor said. "This award reflects that Protegrity delivers the expertise and value that business owners look for when buying or selling a business, and I am happy to share this honor with our whole team."
