Protegrity Advisors Client Bender Insurance Agency Acquired by Acrisure

AcrisureProtegrity Advisors, a leading M&A advisory and business valuation firm, is pleased to announce that it advised Bender Insurance Agency in its acquisition by Acrisure, one of the top 10 insurance brokerages in the United States.

Bender Insurance Agency was founded in 1948 and is one of the top 10 privately owned insurance agencies in the New York metro area. Bender will continue to operate under the same name, with the same team, at the same Woodbury location, and with same sense of integrity toward clients and employees that was established by the late Glen Gabriel, its founder.

"Our goal is to put together M&A deals that are beneficial to the selling business owners and their customers and employees, the buyers, and the Long Island community," said Gregg Schor, CEO of Protegrity Advisors. "I am proud that Protegrity is once again the M&A advisor on a transaction in which all of these objectives were achieved."

"This strategic relationship gives Bender the ability to leverage Acrisure's national and global network and depth of resources whenever we need it – while being able to maintain our own sense of identity and way of doing business," said Ted Demos, Vice President of Commercial Lines. Don Buchholz, Vice President of Commercial Sales, added that "we are confident that Bender's already enviable growth rate will accelerate even faster as we now have the ability to be an even greater advocate for our clients."

Campolo, Middleton & McCormick, LLP, a premier law firm with offices in Ronkonkoma and Bridgehampton, New York, represented Bender in the sale.

Client Testimonials

“Protegrity Advisors worked with us to identify and evaluate potential strategies and options, and when they introduced us to Bridges Fund Management, we knew that we had found the right partner for our patients and employees. The Protegrity team demonstrated their expertise and tremendous value at every step in the process and allowed us to keep our primary focus on the care of our patients, rather than on the transaction.”
