Protegrity Advisors Receives Prestigious "Rookie of the Year" Business Achievement Award from HIA-LI
Ronkonkoma, New York—Protegrity Advisors, a leading Mergers & Acquisitions advisory firm, is proud to announce that it was selected from a competitive field of Long Island businesses as the "Rookie of the Year" winner in the prestigious Business Achievement Awards conducted by HIA-LI, the established voice for Long Island business. Protegrity was honored at the 23rd annual Gala Luncheon on September 19, 2017 at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, where hundreds of business leaders gathered to celebrate the best of Long Island business. The Omnicon Group, Castella Imports, and the Association for Mental Health and Wellness also took home awards in different categories at the event, where Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone and Campolo, Middleton & McCormick partner Joe Campolo delivered opening remarks.
In choosing the winners, the selection committee considered multiple criteria including industry leadership, recent outstanding accomplishments, vision for the company's future, revenue and profitability trends, commitment to the growth and betterment of the Long Island community, positive employer/employee relations, and expansion into new markets. Protegrity's nomination stood out for the company's exponential growth in just the past year, adding new offerings in the areas of divestitures and automotive dealership sales. The committee also took note of Protegrity's critical role filling the gap for sophisticated M&A advisory services for family-owned or closely held businesses with a revenue range of $5 million to $100 million – precisely the types of companies that thrive on Long Island. The company's commitment to good corporate citizenship, including its sponsorship of a Global Leadership Forum and fundraiser for political activist and chess legend Garry Kasparov's Human Rights Foundation, also made an impression on the committee.
"HIA-LI is honored to celebrate and acknowledge the achievements of these outstanding companies," said Terri Alessi–Miceli, President of HIA-LI. "These award recipients represent that business success can be achieved with commitment and hard work. They inspire and educate all organizations for future success on Long Island."
"I'm thrilled that HIA-LI has recognized Protegrity Advisors," said Protegrity CEO Gregg Schor. "Protegrity's vision is to be the go-to M&A advisory firm on Long Island, and this recognition will allow us to share that vision with fellow Long Island business leaders."
